Imam Shakir will be delivering a presentation on the life of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH at the Oshawa Public Library this Thursday at 7 pm.
Imam Shakir has put together an interesting presentation and is encouraging all Oshawa residents to attend. In particular, if you have any family, friends, or neighbours, who would be interested in knowing more about the beautiful life of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH, please encourage them to attend this event. The event is open to members of all faiths.

The Life of Malcolm X

As part of Islamic History Month, the Oshawa Public Library and the Islamic Centre of Oshawa are holding a joint program on the Life of Malcolm X. The program will be held at the Oshawa Public Library this Saturday at 3 pm. World renowned speaker Dr. Abdullah Hakim Quick will be speaking at this event.
All brothers and sisters interested in attending are encouraged to register online at events.oshawalibrary.on.ca or visit the library in person. As the number of attendees has been limited to 100 people, those interested in attending should register ASAP.

Today marks the beginning of Charity week. Day 1 we will be holding a Bake Sale in UB Atrium, Vendors Alley and 61 Charles Street from 12pm – 5pm.
All money collected will be used to help Orphans around the globe.

Khatmul Qur’an & Dua at Islamic Centre of Oshawa
Message from the Islamic Centre of Oshawa:
Asalamualaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh:
Insha’allah, we will be completing the recitation of the Holy Qur’an in Taraweeh Salah on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 (29th Night of Ramadhan). Isha Salah will start at 10:35 pm, which will be followed by Taraweeh Salah and Dua.
Extra parking will be available in the Senior Citizens Centre parking lot. Please follow the instructions of the volunteers upon your arrival to ensure that all attendees are parking in an orderly manner.
We hope to see everyone on Wednesday. Accommodations will be made for the entire family. Light refreshments will be served.

The Islamic Centre of Oshawa, in conjunction with Islamic Relief Canada, is proud to host one of the most dynamic,sought after speakers in the world. An annual speaker at the Reviving the Islamic Spirit Conference – RIS, Shaykh Sulaiman Moola will be speaking to our congregation about the desperate need to support the orphaned children of Syria.
- More than 4 million Syrian refugees are scattered throughout 5 neighbouring countries.
- 6.5 million children have been affected by the crisis with more than half of Syrian children no longer attending school.
- More than 12 million people inside Syria are in need of humanitarian aid.
